ABOUT GILLIAN

Hey Everyone!

I’m Gillian - standing behind and driving forward Gillian Costallos Designs. A graduate of the University of Alabama, I’m committed to pursuing my dreams with passion, creativity and social responsibility. I do this by combining my instincts for fashion with a unique style, while pursuing sustainability of resources. Informed by the lure of haute couture, fashion history and art, I enjoy staying just this side of trendy: infusing classic looks with a current flair.

Since graduating, I’ve designed a tote bag featuring the University of Alabama’s signature Tartan pattern that was chosen to be produced by a global fashion house. In addition to that, I’ve created clothing and accessories to be sold in the University’s campus store using the signature Tartan pattern as well. From 2017 to 2018, I interned as the Creative Director for a start-up online boutique based out of Atlanta. During my time with the boutique, I was responsible for creating mood boards that inspired monthly photoshoot themes, directing the website’s visual appearance and content as well.

I’m currently working at a retail company as the Women’s Lead, bolstering the Assistant General Manager who is in charge of the women’s department. My responsibilities include the visual merchandising of the products to maximize floor space, shop-ability, and profitability of the department. I still follow my passion for design, and look forward to sharing my creations and dressing the world.
